Are you a good father?
You know you are a good father when:
• When you help your kids with their schoolwork
• When you take an interest in their hobbies
• When you show affection to your wife in front of them
• When you advocate that they speak to you and each other respectfully
• When you just enjoy being with your children
• When your son or daughter comes running to you when they get hurt
• When your calendar is full of things to do with your children
• When you calmly and gently discipline your children without yelling or screaming
• When you tuck your children into bed at night and tell them “I love you”
• When you drive your kids to school in the morning
• When you make Saturday morning breakfast for them
This list is complements of All Pro Dad. It is not exhaustive, but it does get you thinking! Yes, I have some work to do!!

Children with those kinds of fathers in their lives are so very blessed. I can’t imagine a father not taking advantage of all these opportunities but alas, there are some. A mom just can’t take the place of a father’s nurturing.
You’re a good dad Stef 🙂 – You’re a good dad for listing these here and inspiring others to do them 🙂
Excellant Blog, and amen! Keep on the right track. Family first, family first, family first!
Great post! I thought you might enjoy this video, which is suitable for work – yet not from a Christian artist. If only Christian contemporary music was as bold! Let me know your thoughts! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqYUns2YQik He has a great idea for dads at 1m:46s…
Share with the other all pro’s. They are watching us!
Amen Stef!
I was blessed with such a dad and am married to one as well. I love the list and wonder if I should write one for moms as well…
Something to consider. 🙂
Every blessing and grace to you Stef! And something tells me this list describes you to a tee… 🙂
May the Lord be you sun and your shield and ever near to your heart in the journey,
Susan
